Trace Sears, PT, DPT, MS, OCS
Clinical Assistant Professor

Trace Sears is a Senior Physical Therapist at Boston University Physical Therapy Centers in Boston, Massachusetts, and a member of the Faculty of Physical Therapy at Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Boston University. His clinical interests are Orthopedics and Aquatic Physical Therapy, with a special emphasis on treatment of foot and ankle disorders in children and adults. He is also a consulting member of the Physical Therapy staff at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth, Massachusetts. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Dr. Sears was a member of a multi-disciplinary team which authored Standards for Aquatic Therapy through the Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute in 1997. He was a former aquatic therapy Program Director for Florida Hospital, where he developed aquatic rehab facilities and programs for Walt Disney World/Celebration Health and the NBA's Orlando Magic. He has an extensive background in healthcare management and clinical program development, and he is currently involved in clinical research focusing on functional outcomes of treatment of shoulder disorders.
